Frequently asked questions about the CRC ride service

Q   How much will it cost me for a ride?
A   Volunteer drivers use their vehicles to transport you. The ride is free, but donations are welcome.

Q   Are the donations tax deductible?
A   Yes, CRC is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit corporation. Contributions make it possible for us to continue expanding our service.

Q   What area do I have to live in to get a ride?
A   We serve people from Elk to Timber Cove.

Q   How do I reserve a ride?
A   Call the CRC office (1-800-395-8964 or 884-4562) between noon and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. We ask that you make your request at least two days before the date that you need the ride. When you call, please be prepared to give the time, address, and length of time needed for your appointment.

Q   Where can I get rides to?
A   Rides are available for local trips, as well as for appointments in Santa Rosa, Petaluma and Ft. Bragg. Rides to Santa Rosa, Petaluma and Ft. Bragg are also provided by our van service.

Q    What can I get rides for?
A   We will transport you to medical or dental appointments, and to meet other essential needs.

Q   Can you transport me to visit a friend?
A   No, as mentioned previously, our transportation service is limited to medical or dental appointments and essential needs.

Q   I am unable to walk without assistance. Can your driver help me?
A   No, for insurance reasons, our policies require that you be mobile and not require assistance.
